What role does memory play in our public discourse? What should be remembered and what should be allowed to sink into oblivion? Memory can feed conflicts and legitimize them. But is can also serve as a path towards reconciliation. The contributors to this book —a majority of them Cuban— confront the problem of memory, conflict and reconciliation in the context of their own life experiences.
